Sasha is a Russian photographer based in the Netherlands. He was a professional ballet dancer who has danced main roles with famous ballerinas such as Asylmuratova, Chenchikova, Kunakova.
The empty feeling Sasha felt when he stopped dancing he quickly replaced by photography "It came from nowhere, but it came... And when taking my first ballet pictures, my future became clear to me, I knew immediately what I was going to look for: I was going to look for perfection again.
I would like to show that Ballet is not just one of the Arts, this is the main Art. I would like to show the moments of perfection hardly anyone can achieve, only ballet dancers can! I have a strong desire to show people the heart and soul of the theatre! I want people to love it and I want them to go and see it for themselves.
The photography is not just a way to earn a living for me, this is my life, this is what found me, this is my passion."
Dimitar Karanikolov is an architect with a passion for travel and aerial photography. He does architectural visualizations in his studio and that’s how he got into the architectural and cityscapes photography in the first place.
In recent years he’s been travelling on specialized photo expeditions worldwide, trying to capture authentic environments and portraits and unusual perspectives with his drone.
His work has been featured in National Geographic, Lonely Planet, Fubiz and Designboom.
